Tunnel Books & Pop-Ups: Making 3-D Storybooks with Jen Schultz

Have you ever seen a pop-up book and wondered, How do they do that?! In this camp you learn the basics and use your new 3-Dskills to tell a story. Students make at least one book, depending on the level of difficulty they choose. Cutting, gluing, simple sewing and more with paper and other materials. Includes guidance on how to write a simple tale that pops!
Material fee: $10 per student.
The Evolving Sewist: Advanced Sewing

Prerequisites: They have completed at least 2 years of our summer sewing camps; 11yo and up
Ready for your next a challenge? The objective of this camp is to open that door to independent sewing. We will guide students in applying their sewing skills and creativity as they progress through a sewing pattern. We focus on the essential steps involved in working a sewing project from inception to completion. Deepen your knowledge and skills and discover the freedom to sew it alone! Materials fee $40

How do we achieve sustainability? Where does one person even start to make a difference? Campers will work through multiple, creative, projects with cast off garments with the aim to teach them how to begin to make their own wardrobe a sustainable one. Let’s all work to keep clothes out of the land fill!
Adventures In Fiber
Aug. 25th
This is a week of sampling a variety of different fiber arts. Dive into our stash! We have updated this camp making room for exploration. A more-relaxed class designed to introduce kids to the world of textiles and have the opportunity to try out sewing and knitting and more.
Workshops: Cancellations must be made 2 days prior to the workshop start date for a full refund less $15. We cannot refund payment for any cancellations made less than 2 days prior to workshop date. For the workshops by appointment we are always open to rescheduling when we have advance notice.
Summer Camps: Summer camp cancellations must be made 21 days prior to the camp start date for a full refund less $25. Within 21 days but more than 7 days we will refund ½ of payment. There is no refund of payment for any cancellations made less than 7days prior to camp start date. We reserve the right to cancel any camp that is not sufficiently filled. We will announce this at least 2 weeks in advance of the camp and a full refund will be given.
School Release: School Release Cancellations must be made 2 days prior to the workshop start date for a full refund less $20. We cannot refund payment for any cancellations made less than2 days prior to camp start date.Consent & Release Forms. All sewing involves a degree of risk of injury. We teach and monitor safe practices with all students using the machines and tools. MEDIA: Any video, photos, images of the children taken at camp, and quotes or other written materials may be used by Fiber Works MPLS or assigned agents for art, advertising, and promotional literature. Campers waive the right to inspect and/or approve the finished product or copy. We will never use names or contact information of campers on any of our media materials or promotions.
